Vindata
May 24th
Southern California’s reigning remix champs are at it again. Vindata keeps amping up some of the hottest tracks from all genres with their dirty bass-lines and grimy synths. Branden “Apollo” Ratcliff and Jared “Ark Angel” Poythress branched out from the group RELIGION to form Vindata and are making quite the name for themselves right out of the gate. Staying true to the original song, and meshing the lyrics with their brand of electro is their signature, and they are pulling it off as well as anybody in the game right now. With four absolutely BANGIN’ remixes already out and an album in the works, Vindata is sending ripples through the electro scene that will soon turn into a tidal wave. Apollo & Ark Angel were cool enough to send us their remixes of Will.I.Am and Usher’s colabo OMG as well as the remix they did of the Band Of Skulls single Fires. Both mixes are excellent examples of what this talented duo brings to the table, so check them out for yourself!!

With his remix of the Cyberpunkers track titled “OMG” blowing up the blogosphere, Colin and I thought we should show Tom Deluxx some much deserved love over here at Bangerz Only!! With a style that’s often been compared to the Bloody Beetroots, Deluxx brings straight up, grind your face off, electro to the table, which if you couldn’t tell by now has us FUCKING STOKED!! Cyberpunkers returned the favor and have remixed Tom Deluxx’s single RUN which we are also happy to include in this post. So if you’re not by now, get familiar with Bordeaux’s own, Tom Deluxx!!

American Werewolf
Apr 8th
Seattle, Washington’s American Werewolf is an electronic project built on incredible live performances. Pushing far beyond simply DJ’ing their productions, Kevin “Slutty Two Shoes” Chessie and Cameron “DJ Cameo” Willet bring an array of original tracks and some BANGIN’ remixes to their live shows. Crowds are getting their minds blown all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond, leaving concert goers wanting more.
American Werewolf’s first official release, an EP, dropped July 10th of 2009 on Simplify Recordings. At that time, however, they were known as Phantom Power and their EP was titled “American Werewolf.” They dropped the name Phantom Power soon after its release due to a name conflict with a group already on Beatport. Their second release on Simplify, “You & Me,” came out on October 2nd, 2009, and featured some hot remixes by Hirshee, Glenn Wilson, & Furlonge.
The American Werewolf crew was kind enough to provide us with some brand new, exclusive tracks for your enjoyment. This is definitely a group to pay close attention to so add American Werewolf as a friend on MySpace, and join their Facebook fan page.
American Werewolf – You & Me (Original Mix)
Phantom Power – Roller Disco (Original Mix)
Phantom Power – Deep Throat (Original Mix)

DJ Kue
Mar 23rd
“DJ Kue‘s production is on point. He obviously has funk and soul in his blood. I recently signed his track “The Way” to my record label and it’s proved to be a very successful release. I’m a huge supporter of what Kue is doing and you can expect to hear his name a lot more in the near future.” – DJ Dan
With DJ Dan (not to mention Judge Jules, Kissy Sell Out, Donald Glaude and countless others) cosigning him, do we really need to do anything else to convince you that DJ Kue is worthy of an artist feature on Bangerz Only? Probably not, but we’ll give you some details on him anyway to get you caught up on the man who is making a big name for himself in this house music shit. Not only can the El Paso, TX native tear it up in the studio; he also rips crowds to pieces with his DJ sets with more than 15 years of experience behind the decks. That’s enough out of me though, we’ll let this Nor-Cal resident’s music do all the talking.
The Gap Band – You Dropped A Bomb On Me (DJ Kue Remix)
Calvin Harris – Flashback (DJ Kue Remix)
Beastie Boys – Sabotage (Kue’s OMG Remix)
Filter – Take A Picture (DJ Kue Remix)
Zebra – Tell Me What You Want (DJ Kue Master Blaster Remix)
DJ Kue – Don’t Get High (Original Mix)

Algeronics
Nov 13th
I will readily admit that Algeronics makes me feel bad about myself. But why write about someone so ego-deflating, you may ask? Like John Cougar Mellencamp once said, “it hurts so good!” Algeronics is an 18 year-old Cali-based producer crafting electro-fidget bombs on the regular. What were you doing with your life when you were 18? At an age where most of us were specializing in killing brain cells and making bad decisions, Algeronics is producing beats with the skill of a studio veteran. Remixing Daft Punk is a daunting task. Anytime you touch a truly legendary piece of music, it usually comes out the other end that much worse. Algeronics’ remix of Daft Punk’s “Digital Love” is a rare exception. At a time when I was almost completely ready to give up on fidget as a genre, Algeronics came correct with this gem. While most fidget tracks tend to rely on wobble alone, this youngster’s remix forgoes that tired formula with tastefully chopped up samples of the original and wobble-free yet bangin’ interludes between the epic breakdowns. Algeronics doesn’t need to rely on remixes of already dope originals either. His “You and Me EP” (Direct Drive Digital) displays the same talent and creativity. Enough producer-jockin’, now on to the HEAT…
