Playing some serious catch-up by posting The M Machine’s – Metropolis Part I EP 10 days after its release, but I had to give it some love. Metropolis Part I truly pushes the boundries of what genres are considered to be in EDM today. Is it a meshing of Electro, Proggressive and Indie Dance or have The M Machine begun the process of creating an entirely new genre for the world of dance music? My opinion is simply that it’s great music, the production quality and musicality are off the charts, which is refreshing in an industry where so many producers rush through tracks while chasing the ’high’ of charting on Beatport. Listen with an open mind and enjoy one of the best albums of the year!
